Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Norfolk (Hybrid)
Employement Type: Contract
Employment Length: Long Term
Pay: $40-$50 /hr.
Job Description:
We are seeking a flexible, dynamic, and continuously learning individual with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our team as a Business Intelligence Junior. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data management, analysis, and visualization, along with a strong foundation in cloud technologies, data science, and programming.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain data lakes on cloud platforms.
- Utilize cloud services and possess relevant certifications.
- Collaborate with cloud architects for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines as a data engineer/analytics architect.
- Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Excel.
- Implement data governance and management practices.
- Conduct data manipulation, cleaning, and validation.
- Familiarity with big data technologies.
- Experience in modeling and simulation for business insights.
- Develop and validate machine learning models.
- Deploy models into production environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, and VBA within popular IDEs.
- Automate processes to enhance efficiency as an automation engineer.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Strong understanding of databases and database management.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of data science concepts and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
